HILLSBORO — Lewis L. Funk, 63, of Hillsboro, died at 6:10 p.m. Thursday in his home after suffering a heart attack. He was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, the Hillsboro Booster Club, past master of Wabash Lodge 708, F&AM of Attica, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, the Wallace Low 12 Club, the Attica Chapter 125, Order of the Eastern Star. Born near Attica on Dec. 28, 1913, he was the son of Marian and Elizabeth Hysong Funk. He was married Jan. 1, 1938, to Eloise Hoffman who survives. He was a graduate of Attica High School and had been employed by Public Service Indiana for some 40 years before retiring Feb. 1, 1977. Surviving are a son, Michael of Columbus, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Morton (Judy) Gest of Carmel; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Fay of Waynetown and Mrs. Amy Pogue of Newtown; a brother, Orville of Carmel; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Maus Chapel with the Rev. Otis Collier officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Masonic services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday. The family has asked that donations be made to the Fountain County Heart Fund.  --typed by Walt W
